Milan Vinco ¿ásta est né le 20 juillet 1952 à Nitra. Il passe son enfance à Chrenová, petit village près de Nitra, qui n¿existe plus. Il fréquente l¿école primaire, puis l ¿école secondaire générale. Son talent littéraire apparaît bientôt. Il écrit ses poèmes pour le magazine scolaire Ozvena (Écho). Il devient vainqueur et gagne le premier prix. Après le baccalauréat il commence à étudier à la Grande école agricole mais il ne finit pas ses études. Il est poursuivi à cause de ses croyances politiques. Milan Vinco ¿ásta ne trahit pas ses convictions. La police secrète d¿état le poursuit et le 18 octobre 1989, le poète est obligé de quitter sa patrie. Il s¿installe en Autriche. Après la révolution de velour en Tchécoslovaquie, il revient en Slovaquie et trouve domicile à Cabaj, village proche de Nitra.
