Autorenporträt
Charlene Eagles Richmond, as her friends know, is no stranger to writing for amusement and inspiration. Originally from New Brunswick, Canada, she currently resides in North Carolina with her husband Wayne whose love letters from 44 years ago inspired her debut book "...the way of a man with a maiden." Her three children and three grandchildren share their blood, but her heart family is much larger. She has sometimes been called a modern day pioneer by friends who witnessed their struggles and victories in their early years of marriage as together they cleared their little piece of land in the Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York. Working side by side...each with their own skills and lack thereof, they built their log home and homestead. For twenty years they grew up with their children there. She is a fan of nature, of cooking from 'scratch, ' and living close to the earth. If you cannot find her outside in her herb and flower gardens, she is likely driving her convertible around the countryside getting close to her roots and capturing photos for art projects. Through her writing, Charlene often shares her Christian faith and unsolicited opinions with her readers, encouraging others to join her in searching out the hidden or fleeting beauty...both in things and in people. Her studies and experiences in Christian Life Coaching have shaped her interest in and passion for utilizing the wisdom of Scripture in healing marriages and other human relationships. Recently retired from nursing, she is devoting more time to preparing a legacy of photographic and written history for her present and future family members. It was a discovery made during that pursuit that birthed the book "...the way of a man with a maiden."
