SARAH WASSNER FLYNN has authored several children's nonfiction books for National Geographic. Her most recent titles include Weird But True Know It All: Greek Mythology; This Book is Cute!; The Ultimate Book of Sharks; This Book Stinks!: Gross Garbage, Rotten Rubbish, and the Science of Trash ; Awesome 8 Extreme; 1,000 Facts About the White House; Animal Records; and Awesome 8. She has also contributed to the New York Times best-selling National Geographic Kids Almanac as well as the popular Weird But True! book series, including Weird But True! Gross, Weird But True! Food, and Weird But True! Christmas. A competitive amateur triathlete, Flynn has earned All-American honors from USA Triathlon for four years in a row, placing 7th in the nation at the Olympic distance for her age group in 2017. Also in 2017, she qualified to represent Team USA at three different World Championships (Olympic distance, 70.3, and Aquathlon). Expert Reviewer DR. PHILIP LOBEL is a professor of biology at Boston University and earned his PhD at Harvard University. His studies have focused on fish behavior and ecology in habitats around the world.
