Larry Carey has been buying salt and pepper shakers most of his life. Today his collection numbers over 6,000 sets and continues to grow as he finds treasures to add. As one of the founding members of the Novelty Salt & Pepper Shakers Club, he has been instrumental in promoting the shaker collecting hobby. A salt and pepper shaker collector since the mid-1970s, Sylvia Tompkins was a charter member of the former Salt Shakers Collectors Club. Her water-related collection of about 7,000 sets has afforded her the opportunity to meet many other collectors throughout the U.S. and Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia.
