Dmitry Vasilyevich Grigorovich (March 31 [O.S. March 19] 1822 - January 3 1900 [O.S. December 22, 1899]) was a Russian writer, artist, and art critic. Grigorovich was doubly an artist. His training as a painter and as the historian of art served him well in depicting the river landscape in every aspect. The landscape is described in all the varying seasons of the year.
