Autorenporträt
Said Aljoumani, Ph.D. (2010), Cairo University, is Researcher at the Freie Universität Berlin since 2017. His main areas of expertise are the history of libraries and manuscript studies. Among his publications is A madrasa Library in Aleppo at the Dawn of the Ottoman Era (Orient Institute Beirut, 2020). Konrad Hirschler is Professor of Islamic Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin. His research concentrates on Egypt and Syria in the Ayyubid and Mamluk periods with a focus on social and cultural history. Among his books is Medieval Damascus: Plurality and Diversity in an Arabic Library (Edinburgh University Press, 2016). سعيد الجوماني، دكتوراه في علم المكتبات من جامعة القاهرة (0102)، وباحث في جامعة برلين الحرّة منذ (7102)، مجالات خبرته الرئيسة هي تاريخ الكتب والمكتبات الإسلامية، ودراسات المخطوطات العربية، من منشوراته مكتبة مدرسية في حلب مطلع العهد العثماني، منشورات المعهد الألماني في بيروت (0202). كونراد هيرشلر، أستاذ الدراسات الإسلامية بجامعة برلين الحرّة، ينصب اهتمامه البحثي على مصر وسوريا في العصرين الأيوبي والمملوكي مع التركيز على التاريخ الاجتماعي والثقافي. من بين مؤلفاته دمشق في العصور الوسطى التعددية والتنوع في مكتبة عربية، مطبعة جامعة إدنبرة (6102).
