Tim Fulmer's Party Crasher Press has always specialized in publishing unusual, highly experimental fiction. Sometimes it's Mr. Fulmer's own fiction, though just as often it's another writer's fiction (for example, most recently the works of Emericus Durden and Tamara Tifareth). Whoever the author is, readers must be prepared for a combination of wild entertainment and mind-bending insight into the flimsy nature of American social reality. His own latest piece of genre-defying fiction combines futuristic time-travel (in post-United States North America), radical feminism, and a classic road movie premise built around two men and a woman driving a Chevy Camaro from Las Vegas to Manhattan, along the way stopping off in Duluth, Minnesota. Told in a series of flashbacks and flash-forwards, the story ratchets up the dramatic intensity by relying on explosive dialogue and physical 'mayhem' between the three lead characters - that is what makes this story a very 'contemporary' romance: the emotional explosions, the constant contact, the philosophical anger, and, finally, the inability to make sexual compromises.
