B.E. Smith has been captivated by science, physics, and astronomy since he was a child. His parents provided endless books, teaching lessons, and even a telescope to foster this fascination. B.E. Smith attended Western University in Ontario, Canada, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics. Following university, he answered a calling and began a career as a first responder. After years of experiencing traumatic events, he began using creative writing as an outlet to cope with trauma. He was selected for and successfully completed the Boots on the Ground PTSD service dog training and now works with his service dog, Pax. B.E. Smith lives with his wife and three children in Northern Ontario, Canada.
