Alexys grew up in a small town in Texas and was known by so many as the "perfect kid." But as she started to grow up, her pursuit of perfection started to cloud her heart for church; yet, she still loved Jesus. Nothing about this dynamic seemed to make sense, especially through her journey of questions and poems that were written in the process of silent responses. The more she navigated through the world, the more questions arose. The more depression started to attack, and label her as something she never was, but became her new name. As she began to gradually embrace her, her identity was struggling to find its' place back in the hands of Jesus.
