Covering themes of rural landscapes, myth and story, and the impacts of both natural and man-made disasters this book provides a collection of snapshot descriptions of cultural landscapes that richly illustrate contrasting land-use practices and their indivisible association with communities who live, work and create these places. This work is an invaluable read for anyone studying or interested in stewardship of the world's cultural landscapes.
