The Augsburg Confession is a concise summary of the chief articles of the Christian faith. The doctrines contained in it are drawn from the clear testimonies of the literal meaning of Scripture. Composed by Philipp Melanchthon in consultation with other Lutheran theologians, and presented to the Holy Roman Emperor Charles the Fifth at the Imperial Diet of Augsburg in 1530, it remains the central confession of faith for all Lutheran churches to the present day, and a most faithful and clear expression of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Nepali translation is produced by South Asia Lutheran Mission.
