These are my poems about growing up in the big city. I grew up in the city with my family. Living in the city has helped me to appreciate family and friends. My mother and grandmothers' guided, protected and lead me to become an adult. For several years, I lived with my brother, sister, aunt and cousins. But due to death, my uncle and grandparents are no longer with me. I think about my uncle and aunts' and grandparents all the time. I wanted the title of my book "50/50 Chance of An Unspoken Life" because many families get separated from one another due to sickness, death, working long hours, ...

Unfortunately, sometimes families do not see one another because they do not get along. I hope my book of poems would inspire everyone to thinks, pray, and speak about their families in a positive way. Life is short! Time is moving forward! Enjoy and embrace your family while they are alive!
