This book will challenge you, take you down paths you likely haven't visited, and cause you to view the decisions you make in your business through a different lens. The purpose of this book is to motivate entrepreneurs to consider how their Christian faith can shape their business strategies. This book will inspire some of you to step out, and start running your business according to God's plan, while others will remain preoccupied by a big mortgage, multiple car payments, kids in college, and fear bringing religion into their business. To be clear, we're not suggesting that you trade your Escalade for a donkey. Nor are we remotely suggesting that profit is bad-on the contrary, we believe that profit is mandatory, and the more, the better, as it fuels the Great Commission in all its myriad facets including making a payroll. Your business is a powerful launchpad to embark on the Great Commission, yoke yourself with other Christian businessmen, and go forth, mutually navigating hazards while generating the physical and spiritual profit that comes from faithfully living the Gospel and spreading its message.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Mike Smock. Mike was born and raised in Ann Arbor, went to MSU, then moved across the country with stops in Chicago, Salt Lake, and San Francisco before recently resettling in DeWitt, Michigan. Mike has been married for more than 40 years to his high school sweetheart and is the proud father of two and grandfather of four. Mike's career has been split between owning and operating enterprises and advising and consulting enterprise leaders. As an advisor who works with start-ups and turnarounds, he has been there for CEOs during their best and worst days. As an entrepreneurial CEO, he knows what it's like to "sign on the dotted line," raise millions, miss payrolls, be in the Wall Street Journal, and battle creditor committees, adverse boards, and union activists. For the past 14 years, he has been CEO of Distributed Security, Inc. and, most recently, founder of Kingdom Defense. He is a son of the American Revolution and the Michigan state coordinator for the Christian Business Men's Connection's Trusted Advisor Forums. You can find him on his Substack at n417.substack.com and website www.defend.center. Mike Winter. Mike has been married to his wife, Kim, since 1988. They are the parents of ten children, all of whom currently claim to be walking in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Mike and Kim also enjoy twelve grandchildren, with two more on the way, but are confident their children can and will produce more! Mike met his wife while attending Hope College, where he received Jesus as his Savior and subsequently earned his BA in Religion. Using his degree, Mike served two years as an associate pastor before 'retiring.' Mike then worked for ten years in the insurance industry, beginning as a sales representative before transitioning to corporate, where he worked in marketing management as a trainer and then as a project manager. After leaving the temporary insurance industry, Mike joined CBMC, Christian Business Men's Connection, in 1997 as the area director for Central Michigan. Mike holds the title of state director for CBMC and is an advisor to the CBMC National Board of Directors. Mike recently wrote and published the book MAN Up! A Guide to Restoring Biblical Manhood, available at Amazon. Mike also blogs weekly as the know God coach at knowGodcoach.com.
