Peter Smyth has been at the forefront of developments in telecoms and computer science for over 35 years, most recently as VP of core innovation at CableLabs, USA. He previously held various senior research positions at BT Group, including VP of mobility and converged services, and head of mobility and wireless research. He holds 19 granted patents and was awarded the prestigious Martlesham Medal for Science and Technology in 2011.
