In the present book the vegetation of three important forts namely Bidar, Gulbarga and Raichur were documented. All the cryptogams such as Algae, Lichens, Bryophytes Pteridophytes including Gymnosperms and angiosperms present in and around the forts were collected and records have been provided. The present book reveals 10 species of algae belonging to 09 genera of 03 families were collected and recorded from both stones/rocks and standing water bodies of Bidar fort. However, 02 species of lichens, 08 species of bryophytes belonging to 06 genera of 05 families, 08 species of Pteridophytes belonging to 04 genera of 04 families were collected and recorded from the rocks and fort walls of Bidar fort. Further, 06 species of gymnosperms belonging to 06 genera of 02 families found in and around the forts were recorded from Bidar fort. Similarly, angiosperms collected and recorded seasonally in Bidar fort are represented by 151 species belonging to 133 genera of 51 families. The Climatic conditions of the study area explained. The documented plants phytochemical analysis results compared with seasonally. The present book will be very much useful to the Plant science students, scholars.
