Tapon Mahamud Jony a commencé sa carrière dans la télédiffusion après avoir obtenu son diplôme d'ingénieur en 2008. Il a travaillé pour plusieurs chaînes de télévision par satellite en tant qu'ingénieur de diffusion au Bangladesh. Plus tard, en 2013, il a déménagé à Singapour et a travaillé pour plusieurs fournisseurs de services IPTV en tant qu'ingénieur principal. Il s'est rendu aux Jeux olympiques de Rio en 2016 et a travaillé en tant qu'ingénieur de diffusion pour plusieurs sites.
