Autorenporträt

Larry G. Day, Jr., like the characters in this debut novel, grew up in a coal mining camp in Eastern Kentucky where the prejudices and social norms of the 1950's prevailed regardless of the Civil Rights Movement that had begun decades earlier. He obtained a bachelor degree in English from the University of Pikeville followed by a master in teaching. Later he attended National University pursuing a master of fine arts in creative writing. He resides in Greenup County, Kentucky with his love of over twenty years and their rambunctious beagle named Lucy.
