This book which consists of nine chapters is considered a repository for exploring the writing from different perspectives. Chapter III explains the types of sentences from the functional and the structural views highlighting their advantages and usage. This chapter also examines sentence errors and the ways of rectifying them. From another perspective, chapter IV discusses the components of academic paragraphs: the topic sentence, supporting and concluding sentences along with paragraph structures. Chapter V highlights developing essays in terms of introduction, body, and conclusion as well as all types of essays. Chapter VI explores writing mechanics by discussing, capitalization, coherence,cohesion, and punctuation. Furthermore, chapter seven defines academic writing and its characteristics. Chapter VIII delves into the history of the English language tracing its spelling and pronunciation development. Chapter IX highlights writing assessment.
