Ingrid Wimpel was born in Paramaribo, Suriname. She currently lives in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. From an early age, she loved listening to bedtime stories. When she was about seven years old, going to the library bus on Sundays was her big treat for the week. There wasn't enough time in a weekend to read it all. It's from that early age that she dreamed of becoming an author. A challenging task, she soon discovered. However, after years of diligent practice, she has finally realized her dream. Besides books and reading, she loves Paris, the beach, baking Christmas cookies and eating lots and lots of chocolate.
