Tiene una Maestría summa cum laude en Estudios Teológicos con especialización en apologética cristiana de la Universidad Internacional Veritas (Santa Ana, CA, EE. UU.) y una Licenciatura en Gestión de Recursos Humanos de la Universidad de York (Toronto, ON, Canadá). Steven está casado con Cindy y viven en Lincoln, Ontario, con sus hijos Matthias, Timothy y Nehemías.
