Tanu Goel has completed her post graduation in social work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The book was written as one of the requirements of the degree. She chose to study the Parental acceptance for children with disabilities specifically in the slums of Mumbai, India. She thoroughly enjoyed the process and learned a lot.
