The Author: Olga Strietska-Ilina is a historian, sociologist, and political scientist. After starting her career teaching at the Central European University in Prague, she was Director of the National Observatory for Employment and Training in the Czech Republic for several years. She has published extensively in the field of education and training, employment and the labour market, social exclusion, cultural minorities, nationalism, and European affairs.
