The findings of the present study can be summarized as follows.1. 100 cases were studied for changes in haematological profile.2. Hypochromic anemia was seen across all age groups ranging from 18 -59 years of age with a mean age of 34.44 years.3. 55% were females and 45% were males.4. Majority of cases of hypochromic anemia were 68% in a age range from18-38 years.5. Pedal oedema and fever were the most frequent symptoms observed inhypochromic anemia followed by anorexia and dyspepsia.
