Once more the Scottish Highlands feature, including one about the dreaded midge, the bane of the tourist. It never ceases to surprise me where the inspiration may come from; such as hiccups for example. Even a nasty bout of food poisoning ended up with the writing of eight verses... once I had recovered of course. Not being a fan of hot humid weather, the blistering summer of 2018 did not pass without comment or much sweating. Observations are made regarding life and politics in the UK and the tragic fate of a young American missionary. Getting ever older is still a source of inspiration and annoyance in equal measure, but my better half will yet again give me cause for celebration. Every year people are savaged and sometimes killed by dogs which have turned feral for no apparent reason. Often the dogs are aggressive 'fighting' breeds. This subject and the need for such breeds is explored.
