This book is the result of an analysis of school textbooks used in Portuguese. The analysis focuses on moral values. The aim is to see if the moral values transmitted by the texts in Socialist Education (1975-1991) coincide with the values transmitted in Neoliberal Education (1992-2013). The fact is that in Neoliberal Education the behaviour of society, especially young people, has deteriorated. The aim is to see what the role of the school is, especially the subject of Portuguese, in the education of young people, given that this subject covers various cross-cutting themes, with the aim of educating society, especially young people, who are tomorrow's treasures.
