The motivation behind this topic is the fact that measure, filling the gap and discovering the result of the impact of teaching translation strategies on the translation performance of Iranian law students. In order to address this issue, A quantitative and qualitative study was conducted on two randomly selected classes include 56 participants who had the mean age of 23 and there were 14 males and 42 females at Islamic Azad University of Mashhad, Iran. It was particularly hypothesized that the students taught according to the translation strategies would score higher in the post-test than in the pre-test and that there would be statistically significant differences at the level of .05 between the post-test mean scores of both groups. The study revealed that translation strategies had a positive effect on law students' translation performance and the experimental group obtained somewhat higher scores in the post-test than in the pre-test, making the difference between the pre-test and post-test scores statistically significant.
