A Contrastive Study of Yira and English Morpho-syntax. One of the major issues in foreign language learning or second language learning is the non-mastery of the structure of the targeted language. Rather than predicting errors in structures, real and natural errors can be detected from the analysis of morpho-syntactic aspects of the learner's native language and the language he or she is wishing to study in order to know which structure is likely to cause troubles in both grammar and meaning. When language teachers understand well the differences and similarities between the two languages, then an effective therapy can be applied to facilitate language learning. Research questions for this book are: What are similarities between Yira and English phrases? What are differences between Yira and English phrases? Are Yira Syntactic structures similar to those of English as far as the form is concerned? Are Yira Syntactic structures different from those of English as far as the form is concerned? The present book intends to help teachers of English to Yira subjects to discover similarities and differences between Yira and English.
