John W. Tracy, MD is a second generation physician who began his career in the city, but escaped to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. His training and practice have spanned 37 years. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill medical school and completed post graduate training at East Carolina University. He has been a member and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice for over 25 years. After years of people saying; "You need to write a book!," he finally did. He lives in Laurel Fork, Virginia with his wife, Nora, who does everything he doesn't do in the office. In his spare time, he enjoys woodworking, reading, golf, gardening, gourmet cooking and spending time with friends and family.
