Isaiah is listed in the Bible as one of the Major Prophets of the Old Testament. He has often been referred to as a Counselor to Kings. The purpose of this book is to build an imaginary life for Isaiah, in order to help the reader understand that he was a real man. He surely felt the criticisms and rejection of the people. When we see these prophets as real people with real feelings it should help us to better understand their messages. How must he have felt after a day of hearing the abuses of the people? What was his personal feelings as he preached the harsh sermons.
