Children are often told both how and when they should feel. It's no wonder, then, that we struggle with our em0otions--when we're sometimes shamed and blamed for having them in the first place, it can be difficult to learn how to express them in a healthy way. In A Cup of Tea With Sadness, author Ron Chelsvig explores a man's conversation with his feelings on a level he never knew was possible, and is surprised to find out what his feelings have to say to him!

Autorenporträt
Ron Chelsvig is currently working on becoming the best human being he can be. He brings great compassion, acceptance and honesty to his life experience, openly sharing this spirit with those he reaches. Be it in his professional service, artistic or healing expression, Ron's work helps people open their hearts to themselves. He was born and raised in Story City, a small farm community in Iowa, where his love for writing stories and drawing pictures started with the encouragement of a kind-hearted elementary school teacher. He has lived much of his adult life in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he obtained a Master's degree in physical therapy and has focused most of his professional life in the healing arts, working mainly with an impoverished population in the inner city. He is also an active member of a Sufi community in Philadelphia. He is a mentor to many, a life coach and an IFS practitioner. He is often invited to speak to groups, with a message focused on learning to love ourselves and what gets in the way of that pursuit. He also bakes pie. His influences include, but aren't limited to, Brené Brown, Rumi, Pema Chödrön, Tara Brach, Bawa Muhaiyaddeen, Tom Rapp, The Beatles, Calvin & Hobbes and, of course, Winnie-the-Pooh. Lisa Pangborn is an award-winning illustrator and designer, honing her skills in the world of advertising for nearly twenty years. Now she's devoting herself to her art full-time as a freelancer based in Chicago. "A Cup of Tea with Sadness" is one of her first forays into book illustration.
