Agnieszka ¿owczanin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of British Literature and Culture at the University of ¿ód¿, Poland, where she teaches courses on British literature, culture and history. She specialises in eighteenth- and nineteenth-centuries fiction, focusing on the politics, poetics and paradoxes of the Gothic. With Dorota Wi¿niewska she co-edited the volume All that Gothic (2014).
