A DEATH IN PRAGUE is the story of Daniel Gervase: a middle-aged New Yorker who discovers that his wife Leah is having an affair. After leaving her, Dan decides that Prague will be the place to start over. He gradually finds happiness in his writing and in the love of Bozena, a beautiful young Czech girl. Cultural differences and a disparity in their ages seem meaningless until Leah¿s unannounced arrival in the old city, which sets in motion a series of events that will forever alter the new life Dan has established.

Autorenporträt
Victor Lana published a chapbook of short stories, In a Dark Time, with Alpha Beat Press. His short stories, poems and articles have appeared in literary journals and magazines. He has written three other novels. Franzago, a story of a New York acting family (1987); Like a Passing Shadow, the tale of three generations of an Irish family on Long Island (1995); and Move, a "road" novel based on a driving trip in 1978 (2001). A Death in Prague was completed in 1998, so Victor considers it to be his third novel, although it is the first to be published.
