Autorenporträt
Jim Casey joined the Irish Permanent Defence Forces in 1965 and served for 21 years in Cyprus until retirement in 1986. On retirement from the army in 1986, he took up employment with De Beers Diamonds, a South African Company and served as a diamond courier and security operations for eighteen years until retirement in 2004. In 2006 he joined Irish United Nations Veterans Association. He held the positions of Chairman Post 30 Galway, Secretary of the Association and then National Chairman.
