Joanne O’Sullivan is the author of eighteen non-fiction books, including the best-selling children’s travel and adventure series that includes 101 Places You Gotta See Before You’re 12! The third book in the series, 101 Ways You Can Help Save the Planet Before You’re 12 was recommended by the National Science Teacher’s Association, was named to the Chicago Public Library’s “Best of the Best Kids’ Books” list in the Nature Connections category for 2010, and won an honorary mention at the 2010 Green Books Festival. Animal Eggs the book she co-wrote with Dawn Cusick, won the Animal Behavior Society’s Book of the Year award in 2012.  Her book, A Dog Walks into A Bar, has reprinted numerous times. A former teacher, she lived and traveled on three continents before settling down in Asheville, North Carolina, where she writes about books and literary events for the Asheville Citizen Times and about art and culture for other publications.
