Kelly lives in Southern California with her husband and crazy Shetland sheepdog. She has two grown children and two grandchildren. For fun and relaxation she enjoys geocaching, oil painting, and exploring the deserts and mountains near the Antelope Valley. As long as Cassidy keeps tracking Kelly will continue writing down her adventures, and there are many more Cassidy adventures in the works. Kelly also frequently has her own geocaching experiences published in FTF Geocacher Magazine.

Kelly Rysten was born in Rockledge, Florida and her family moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico when she was a young girl. Being raised by a librarian and a teacher meant that books have always been part of Kelly's life. Kelly and her husband presently reside in southern California. They have two grown children, three grandchildren, and a crazy Australian Cattle Dog named Chase. Chase is named after Chase Downing, who is very much a part of this book. Kelly is currently working on more Cassidy Adventures and has begun to publish novels featuring her hobby of geocaching. FTF Geocacher Magazine also publishes her short stories about a handyman geocacher named Cooper and his geodog, Ranger.
