A small band of civilian warriors realizes their evil foes will stop at nothing -even murder - to achieve their terrible objective. When a car chase suddenly disrupts a pleasant summer afternoon in London, the elegant, athletic and devoutly Christian Rebecca Manguson Clark and her twin brother, Luke Manguson, immediately activate their family emergency plan for the first time in four years. Working with their longtime associates across the pond in Manhattan to interpret and investigate information revealed to Rebecca through divine visions, the group soon uncovers an insidious plot aimed at corrupting 2,000 years of traditional Christian belief. A Fearful Thing, Walker Buckalew's fifth installment in The Rebecca Series, reunites his inspiring and fearless heroine and her equally brave companions for a thrilling, adventure-packed tale of international intrigue. Set in 1985, with the Cold War between the former Soviet Union and the United States in full swing, the novel introduces the characters of Father McGriff and his parishioner Marie Campbell, who mesh seamlessly with the group in their battle to thwart enemy agents while gently navigating a change in their personal relationship. Will this diverse group of believers somehow marshal the strength to defeat their enemies in time?
