Will he gain the respect of a school of giant barracuda, to help with warnings of fisherman coming to drop their bottom nets on the reef, causing damage and death to all that are caught in them? Regardless of his desk top work as a consultant, Larry Golicz, a lifelong boater, loves to fish, snorkel, scuba, and explore reefs with their many inhabitants. The water continues to be a place for him and his family including his five grandchildren, full of curiosity about the animal world in the sea. Inspired by their enthusiasm, Larry humanizes reef life describing them with wit and wisdom. In the end the moral of his story goes to learning more about our world and working to keep it the best place to live for ourselves and our animal friends in the sea, always working to a balance for a healthy reef and conservation of one of the greatest resources in our world, now declining in many places with overfishing and pollution.
