Groups of birds have been given some charming names. Words that deserve to be preserved within the English language. Here, the collective nouns have been put into rhymes that examine perhaps why those particular names have been given, at the same time providing a source of learning for children and adults alike. The colourful and fun illustrations make this a book to be picked up and enjoyed time and time again. Gone are the days of going to school and being given a list to learn! The author makes learning a selection of collective nouns for birds unique and fun.

Autorenporträt
Sally King taught for forty years, specialising in English and Drama, but moving into the realms of Special Needs Education for her final ten working years. She was disappointed to see that so many words were disappearing from our children's vocabulary. Words relating to animals and birds became the basis for little rhymes which evolved into a trio of books. Passionate about language and words, believing that the English language is historical, rich and varied, her contribution is presented in rhythm and rhyme for children in three colourful books. Animal Families, A Flamboyance of Flamingos and Animal Homes.
