Eugene V. Smith as a youth became infatuated with flying. His art began in grade school, but his passion was always to become a pilot. As he grew his dreams grew also. This volume is a compilation of his dreams. Later in life Gene exhibited his art selling paintings at annual art guild exhibits and concluding with an art exhibit in Paris. A final dream of Gene's was to publish a comic book which was sent in to one publisher and denied. Sadly, Gene did not fulfill his dreams of flying or seeing his comic book come to life. We; his widow, children, and the art world lost Gene in 2009. Today we offer this book of his dreams taking flight through his art. One final note: the one man exhibit in Paris: that was located in Paris, Illinois at the art gallery and museum known today as The Link Art Gallery!
