Having considered the overall finding of the study, the following recommendations are presented as follows. This is to improve the performance of the construction sector in Ethiopia using lean tools. The construction sector, organization and government should give special attention to solve the deep rooted problems identified in the sector such as client related problems, consultant related problems, and contractor related problems as well as external problems and wastes which affects the performance of the construction industry. The construction sector, organization and government should be more committed to support and promote the concept of lean and to learn from the best practices outside of construction. Finally, in order to improve the performance of construction sector, it is necessary to adapt and implement lean construction tools and techniques. Therefore, the author recommends that to implement the proposed framework of lean construction without shortcutting or jumping any of the steps in the model.
