Gabriel Marcel was the premier Christian existentialist in mid-century Europe. He is the author of many books, including, from St. Augustine's Press, Homo Viator, Man against Mass Society, The Mystery of Being (in two volumes), and Thou Shall Not Die. Brendan Sweetman is Professor of Philosophy at Rockhurst University, Kansas City, MO. He has published over seventy articles and reviews, and is author and editor of eight books, including The Vision of Gabriel Marcel (2008), and Religion and Science: An Introduction (2010). He is president of the Gabriel Marcel Society.
