Edward B. Barbier is a University Distinguished Professor in the Department of Economics, Colorado State University and a Senior Scholar in the School of Global Environmental Sustainability. He is a leading expert on international environmental policy and a highly cited scholar on global environmental and sustainability issues. He is the author of many books on environmental policy, including Natural Resources and Economic Development (Cambridge, 2005) and, with David Pearce, Blueprint for a Sustainable Economy (2000).
