The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive glossary of terms related to human rights law in Malta. This is of utmost importance as a reference tool for translators when faced with specialised legal terminology in this particular field of law which directly involves the citizens. Therefore this glossary can be used by any Maltese citizen interested in or seeking a remedy for alleged breach of human rights and fundamental freedoms.

Autor

Dr Georgina Scicluna Bajada graduated as a lawyer (1997) andsubsequently obtained a Masters in Translation and Interpreting(2007). After working as a lawyer in private practice, shefurthered her career as a translator with the EuropeanInstitutions. She presently holds the post of a lawyer-linguistat the Court of Justice in Luxembourg.
