Autorenporträt
David Konjoyan (Los Angeles, CA) is the Vice President of Creative Services at the Recording Academy. In his role, he oversees the organization's publications and print and digital creative. In 2007, he edited And the GRAMMY Goes To..., a coffee-table book celebrating 50 years of the GRAMMY Awards. Prior to joining the Recording Academy, he worked as a music journalist and in radio promotion and public relations and has developed and executive-produced two albums - 1994's tribute to Karen and Richard Carpenter, If I Were a Carpenter, and the offbeat nod to the neo-lounge movement, Lounge-A-Palooza, in 1997. The Recording Academy is a 25 000-member-strong organization best known for producing the GRAMMY Awards. The GRAMMYs are the only peer-presented award to honor artistic achievement, technical proficiency, and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard to album sales or chart position. The Recording Academy has also become the preeminent arts advocacy and outreach organization in the country. The Academy's goals are simple, but represent the heart and soul of the organization's efforts: to positively impact the lives of musicians, industry members, and our society at large.
