Dr. Eve Sprunt was the 2006 SPE President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. In 2010, Eve received SPE's highest recognition, Honorary Membership. She has 35 years of experience working for major oil companies, 21 years with Mobil and 14 years with Chevron. In 2013, Eve received the Achievement Award from the Society of Women Engineers. She was the 2018 President of the American Geosciences Institute. She was the Founder of the Society of Core Analysts in 1985. Her S.B. and S.M. degrees are from MIT (Earth and Planetary Sciences) and her Ph.D. (Geophysics) from Stanford, where she was the first woman to receive a Ph.D. in Geophysics. She has authored more than 120 editorial columns on industry trends, technology and workforce issues, 23 patents and 28 technical publications. She is the author of A Guide for Dual-Career Couples and Dearest Audrey, An Unlikely Love Story and co-author with Maria Angela Capello of Mentoring and Sponsoring:  Keys to Success. She speaks andconsults on both energy issues and women's issues.  Maria Angela Capello, OSI, is Managing Director of Red Tree Consulting, her own consulting firm, specialized in sustainability. She is a renowned leader in the energy sector, expert in sustainability, corporate resilience, and diversity and inclusion. Maria Angela is raising the awareness about the pivotal role of geosciences in advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals, leading the creation of the Geosciences Sustainable Development Atlas, an initiative endorsed by UNESCO. Maria Angela is a Cavaliere, a Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy, the highest civil honor conferred by the President of Italy on Italians abroad, an Honorary Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, a Lifetime Member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and a member of the Board of the SEG Foundation. She has been a Distinguished Lecturer for the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and also of the SEG andSPE. She is the author of two books: Learned in the Trenches - Insights on Leadership and Resilience, and Mentoring and Sponsoring Keys to Success, and has published more than 73 articles in peer reviewed journals. She is a physicist from the Universidad Simon Bolivar (Venezuela), M.Sc. in Geophysics of the Colorado School of Mines (USA) and is certified in Circular Economy and Sustainability by the University of Cambridge (UK).
