Morley D. Glicken, ACSW, MSW, MPA, DSW, is professor emeritus in social work at California State University, San Bernardino and director of the Institute for Positive Growth: A Training Institute in Los Angeles. Dr. Glicken is the former dean of the Worden School of Social Service; the founding director of the Master of Social Work program at California State University, San Bernardino; and the former director of the Master of Social Work program at the University of Alabama. He has held faculty positions in social work at the University of Kansas and Arizona State University. He has published over 50 articles in professional journals and has written extensively on personnel issues for Dow Jones, the publisher of the Wall Street Journal. His eight published books include such diverse subjects as evidence-based practice, men's issues, social research, violence, and the strengths perspective.
