The aim of the book is to help the eager people to both learn about the topic raised in the field of Urban and Regional Planning and the related fields and at the same time understand the specialized words and terms that they may come through in the books and articles they need to read. At the end of each unit the student exercises have been presented to help the students and other readers to have better understanding of what they have read and try to have an evaluation of their endeavor. These exercises have been given as tests, questions and vocabulary practices.

Ali Khaksari (Ph.D.): erhielt einen MA an der Waterloo University und einen Ph.D. an der UWCC, jetzt außerordentlicher Professor an der Allameh Tabataba'i Universität in Teheran - Iran. Zu seinen Interessengebieten gehören: Stadt- und Regionalplanung, Verkehrs- und Verkehrsplanung und -management, Tourismusentwicklungsplanung und Umweltfragen von Städten.
