On a space station hovering relatively close to Earth, an alien scientist enhances common barnyard animals into sapient beings with superpowers. The chicken, the last to join Dr. Hash Browns' laboratory, has yet to demonstrate a superpower, prompting the others to call her Half-Baked. The name calling stings, but the lack of a superpower gives her little concern, especially since the others have only partially working powers. With Dr. Hash Browns still in the middle of his experiments, his corporation falls on financial hard times and cancels his project. The cold-hearted corporate executive targets the animals for disposal, while he pursues his ambitions to make a fortune selling milk, cheese, and beef across the universe. Will the chicken overcome her inferiority complex, activate her superpower, save her fellow BarnYard Heroes, learn to fly, and stop the evil corporate executive from stealing Earth's cows? Find out in BarnYard Heroes: A Half-Baked Origin.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Samuel A. McAdams anointed himself the 21st Century Absurdist. The fact his writings do not match the traditional absurdist definition matters not to him, for he insists the term "traditional absurdist" is an oxymoron. He stakes his claim to the title because absurd, along with fun, are the most common words used to describe his work. He bolsters his right to the 21st Century Absurdist crown based on denials of writing his novels under the influence of controlled substances, stating his absurdity is 100% natural because he must maintain a boring lifestyle in order to continue donating his highly sought-after O-Negative blood. Samuel was born, raised, and still lives in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, with his wife Emmi. His children, Alexis and Ben, are grown and adulting on their own. As a co-leader of a The Writing Journey, a Suburban Chicago writing group, Samuel runs a monthly editing accountability group, organizes weekly "Shut Your Trap & Write" sessions, provides writing critiques, gives writing advice, and has presented workshops on the writer's voice, editing, humor, time management, and the use of naps to find your eureka moment.
