El Dr. Gyanendra Kumar Sahu se graduó en el año 2002 y obtuvo una maestría en derecho en el año 2004 en la Universidad de Berhampur. Durante su maestría obtuvo la primera clase y obtuvo la Medalla de Oro de la Universidad de Berhampur. También obtuvo el grado de Filosofía (M.Phil) en el año 2005.
