This book is a product of study that examines whether or not value structures are similar across diverse school-based cooperatives in areas of members' behavior and the manner by which services are being offered by the cooperatives to its stakeholders. This would probe that there is a universal organization of human motivations among similarly employed individuals despite different value "priorities" or "hierarchies." A Hierarchical Value Map Approach in Cooperative Core Values identifies and defines the core values of school-based cooperatives in Cavite, Philippines using the Hierarchical Value Map (HVM) approach. The HVM is a graphical description of a laddering interview that is used to see the relationships between the attributes, consequences, and values of the respondents. It is a process map representing a process in a top-to bottom structure or "hierarchy." The core values represent basic underlying beliefs and behaviors of the members and leaders of cooperatives who are mutually responsible for the creation of a high performing management and governance.
